Drum rudiment orchestrator

Turn paradiddles, six-stroke phrases, and other named rudiments into kit movement ideas with accent routes, lead-hand travel, kick-aware diddle substitutions, and a count-by-count phrase table.

Target search intent: paradiddle orchestration, drum fill ideas from rudiments, six-stroke roll around the kit.

How to use it

  • Start with a named rudiment you already know, then change only one orchestration variable at a time.
  • If the phrase does not reset every 4/4 bar, loop it anyway. The turnover is often the point.
  • Use the accent route to hear the shape first, then use the hit table to clean up sticking details.
  • The kick-the-diddles mode works best when you want a more linear fill without abandoning the original hand pattern entirely.

The page is meant to bridge the gap between rudiment charts and “move this around the kit” advice that never actually spells out what changed.
